a sporadic self-chronicle since 2001

Got up early this afternoon and at two, I got a call from the factory job for an interview at 3:30. It went well but at the end the guy said he didn’t have positions available and would put my resume on file. What the hell?! Who does an interview and then puts your resume on file?

While I had my short interview, Shawn went and renewed his licence nearby and once I was done, Ryan drove us to Kitchener where I got my driver’s licence. I wrote the test and only got 1/20 wrong on each of two tests. Go me. - I have an Ontario licence now.

When we got back, me and the three roommates went out and bought a new microwave. Just a cheap one from Futureshop to replace our old and now broken one. It’s about half the size but works better since the last one was so old.

Dennis, Ryan and I went out geocaching tonight. We did High on Methane, Low on Air, which was in Kitchener by an old landfill site.

It was a multi-cache where the first four points were places where you had to go and then answer riddles/questions about the location you were at. The first three were all atop this big hill that looked like a giant green wall when we first saw it from a distance, in the darkness. It really caught us off guard as we weren’t sure what the hell the giant green wall in front of us was.

The third point was at a big power line tower, beside some mechanical station that kept making noises like it was trying to get our attention. The final cache was in a forest that smelled of methane.

So today was fairly productive. But don’t tell anyone - I’ve got to keep up my lazy, unemployed reputation.
