a sporadic self-chronicle since 2001

Walked to work today and it was a long day. My back was really starting to get to me near the end but that last break came just in time. They’re really behind in orders so we were asked (earlier this week) to stay until 4:30 this afternoon (instead of Friday’s usual noon).

Chris left at 3pm and I got to work with Jonathan, the other guy who started on Wednesday with me. He is also pretty fun to talk to. Immensely fun to talk to as compared to Sergio.

Remember back when it wasn’t a million degrees outside all the time and really humid? Like a fucking week ago? Ugh, those were the days. Mind you, it’s fairly nice at work. The plant is in the basement and mostly in a hill. In addition, it’s all concrete so while there isn’t air conditioning or anything, it’s usually pretty comfortable. I hear the plant in Waterloo is just totally terrible in terms of heat because of the big oven they’ve got.

I walked home again today. An hour walk in the hot afternoon sun. 36 degrees hot. Damn I am dumb, no sun block or anything. Cancer for me! Great.

When I got home, I cooled off down in my room, showered and passed out n my bed while watching Southpark and then American Dad.

Woke up at 1:30am and had dinner with Shawn (he also fell asleep for most of the evening) and then played Half-Life 2. I was so tired but as soon as I started playing and grabbed a Coke I woke right up. Now suddenly it’s stupidly early in the morning already.
