I really didn’t feel like going to this thing of Leanne’s at Phil’s tonight. Other than her and Shawn I wouldn’t know anyone and while I like Phil’s, I didn’t feel like standing around with Shawn talking about World of Warcraft all night. But when Dennis and Alison decided they were going it was enough to convince me.
For breakfast, Vin Diesel has two poached eggs and a minivan.

Work is a lot more boring when the fun people aren’t around. I’ll miss them a whole lot in September.
When Shawn and I got to Phil’s, no one we knew was there. We had a shot to celebrate our victory over Ragnaros earlier in the week and talked shop about the game and the guild while we drank and waited around. Dennis and Alison came a short while later and after some talking, we grabbed a table for the rest of the night.

Leanne eventually showed up but was scattered and busy with other people. No idea who her latest boy was but it didn’t matter. Shawn didn’t really pay her much attention. We said our hellos to her upon her arrival and after that sort of lost track of her.

There was a very young girl there with her friends celebrating her bridal shower or whatever. They were getting her drunk so I talked to her briefly and bought her a refill on her penis-shaped drink. I wanted to wish her luck but knew I’d be lying if I pretended to think she was making a wise move.
They played a version of Common People around the time I went to the washroom and while I stood there, my head supporting my weight against the wall, some guy nearby asked if I had heard the William Shatner version of the song. Hell yeah, man. I was pretty impressed others knew of it, too.
I hadn’t planned on getting drunk but when Dennis arrived and said he was, I figured I might as well. So I did. We all did. Well, us guys did, not too sure about Alison.

Afterwards, there was talk of catching a movie at Dennis’ place but Shawn and I were really too drunk to stay awake so just stumbled home. It was the longest walk ever. We just wanted to sleep and the sidewalk was not big enough to fit either of our walking patterns. We stumbled across lawns and streets and eventually made it home to pass out immediately.
