a sporadic self-chronicle since 2001

Last night, Dennis and I went out, grabbed Wendy’s and went to Waterloo Park to eat. When we parked, there was a car with sirens a few metres away which we assumed was just a police car. He watched us get out of the car and move over to a bench a little bit away, still in plain sight of Dennis’ car and the police car. Then he drove around slowly, got out and went up to the car. We figured he was just checking out the car to see if there were any bottles or anything since it was kinda’ late to be in a park. Then he got back in his car and drove right in front of us on the bench. We were expecting to be asked about why we were in the park, since it was somewhat late, but he just drove on past us.

Then when we walked back to the car, there was a ticket for $18 on the hood. WTF mate? The ticket says “signs clearly posted” but the only sign there was that you could only park for three hours. Very cloak and dagger for an effing parking ticket.

Four cheeseburger day (two cheeseburger meal + 2 extra cheeseburgers) at McDonald’s today meant lots of artificial, fattening cheer in the afternoon.

incalculable
