The loud ambient noise at work sometimes leads to interesting conversations. Bancroft can sometimes sound a lot like Bangkok, for example, prompting Kim’s reaction of, “I will bang cock, but I’m not going to Bangkok.”
McDonald’s today for lunch. It was most excellent, as usual.
The patch I threw on my bike last night more or less held overnight. I got up early this morning and stumbled outside in boxers to check the air remaining in my tire. Deciding it was fine enough to bike into work, I went back to bed.
It wasn’t perfect and it was still losing air but it got me to work.
Strangely enough, Laura got a flat tire (also her back wheel) on her way to work today. So during the breaks, we called Ziggy’s, a bike place a block away or so from work. They wouldn’t guarantee getting anything done that day so we took off from work at five or so and brought them in. Took only about twenty minutes total and they figured we were “together” and only charged us $20 labour for the both of them so that was pretty damn good.
After that, we headed to Victoria park. Much larger and busier than tiny little Cherry Park, right near the plant. Hung out there for a while and then when it was time for me to head home, I managed to find my way to Westmount and head the wrong direction on it. It wasn’t until I started recognizing landmarks near Laura’s place that I realized my mistake and turned around. Took me around an hour, but I eventually got home.
It was an adventure though and overall was pretty enjoyable.
Tried watching ‘The Chronicles of Riddick’ tonight, but just fell asleep on my bed for hours instead. Just too exhausted.
