When I woke up, I discovered Shawn had crashed there too and had cleaned up the place with Jess (a friend of Rachel’s from work) since early in the morning. We feasted on some mini powdered donuts for breakfast and then Laura drove us home.

When Shawn and I got in, Ryan and Melissa were having brunch so we chatted for a while and then I tried for a nap. Unfortunately, it was cut short by a yelling match between Melissa and Cora upstairs, after which Ryan called down to me that we were leaving imminently for Wal-Mart. Meaning, I had no time to shower or anything before we headed out…

Oh sure, I was still sexy but still…

So we went to Wal-Mart and I bought a bunch of flatware, utensils, beverage containers and various cooking utensils for the house. Shawn did his part and picked up a set of pots and the like. We’re all domestic and shit now. When we were checking out, the cashier gave me an inquisitive look so I told her, “Expensive break-up - turns out she owned the kitchen.”

A few brief emails exchanged back and forth to figure things out tonight and apparently Cora’s moving out Tuesday. Even be losing furniture I thought was mine. Ryan and I will have to head to Canadian Tire tomorrow after work to pick up some more stuff.

Oh, and apparently his parents are thinking of finding and buying a place by Wednesday for us to rent off them, as an alternative to living here. I don’t know about those parents of his. Always waiting until we’ve established what we’re doing with a deadline and such to come up with some ridiculous plan to try and pull off in a day or two or three. I certainly understand where Ryan’s tendency to do everything last minute comes from now.

As summer draws to a close, I find myself wanting to pack more and more into the few remaining days. It’s getting to the point where I’m planning next weekend even before the end of this one. Last night, Shawn and I were invited out for stuff next Friday and Saturday by friends of Laura’s. So that’s cool. I’m not sure if we’ll do stuff both nights, but we’ll see.
