There were only a few of us asked to come in to work today. Maybe six of us but there was nothing for us to really do. So Laura and I cleaned the chair area for two hours. On the way to work, I stopped in at 7-11 and grabbed us a couple cans of Monster.
Since there was nothing to do, we got off at 10:30. Laura and I hung out for a bit and grabbed Subway for lunch. When I got home, I got a haircut and then went out and picked up some groceries.
I spent a big portion of the afternoon being domestic. I cleaned dishes, organized kitchen things, arranged the bikes and spare bed in the guest room, cleaned the bathroom, tidied up my room and made spaghetti for dinner.
Later on, Shawn and I went out to Abstract. We met up with Laura and later Robyn, Rachel and others. It was Robyn’s birthday and she was looking for a toy for the night. There was dancing and such and Laura and I danced a few on our own when others weren’t interested.
Laura, Shawn and I were ready to leave around midnight. Laura and I were tired and Shawn frustrated. Rachel was planning on driving home and going to give us a ride since we were on her way, so we waited until they were ready to leave at 2:30. But then suddenly everyone wanted a ride from Rachel and there wasn’t room for us so we’d have to hang out at Tim Horton’s for 45 minutes while she drove others and then came back for us. Ugh, what the fuck ever, we just took a cab. It was just a waste of time waiting for her earlier.
It wasn’t a big deal though. It didn’t ruin my night or anything - it was just wasted time. Overall, it was a damn good and productive day.
