It’s been a few days since the Lost season opener, I’ve had some time to think about it and I’ve got some thoughts. So if you haven’t seen it and/or don’t want to know what I have to say, then don’t read this next bit.

First off, is the woman Jack operated on his future wife? I don’t remember all the details from the episode about his wedding and stuff, but wasn’t there something mentioned about him operating on her and saving her life remarkably or something? Sure the girl was engaged to someone, but the guy wasn’t even at the hospital when she got out of surgery. What a jerk. Surely she didn’t keep him around.

Secondly are thoughts on the Australian. Maybe he has some ability to control his surroundings. To force his will upon things. So when he met Jack in the stadium, he willed the woman’s back to heal. Perhaps still, evil authorities found out and put him in severe isolation, on an island far far away, sealed up in an underground bunker. However, he still possesses the ability to control his nearby environment and so the island “security system” is his doing, possibly in an effort to bring people to him. Or it could be a security system designed by those who isolated him in the first place in order to kill those on the island who might free him.

Now I’m really curious, but it better not be some stupid thing where it ends up not being a big deal.

Free food at Laura’s parents’ place again tonight. We made a cake!
