Remember 2005?
———————————
So 2005 was a pretty damn good year.
I feel bad talking about media from the past year because I certainly didn’t didn’t keep up on things. I didn’t see every movie, listen to every album or play every game I wanted to. So I guess I’ll just mention a few of the ones I [...]

Late start to our day, but we walked over to Sobey’s for back bacon and made that and pancakes with blueberries, raspberries and strawberries for breakfast.
It was delicious.
Dennis gave me a ride home and I played lots of Darwinia. Some of my Darwinians have Santa hats!
Also, they were jumping for joy because I’m so cool, [...]

Joe picked me up and drove me to his place for the night. While I am away, Laura’s taking the opportunity to visit her ex-boyfriends. I believe that is her plan for tomorrow as well.
We played games all afternoon. A lot of Mario Kart DS and then some Metroid Prime 2 on the ‘Cube. Lisa [...]

I made a turkey dinner today! Clearly, my cooking skill has gone up.
Except, I kind of felt that it went to waste. I mean, I had turkey, mashed potatoes, veggies, stuffing and garlic bread but Laura would only eat mashed potatoes and veggies. Shawn would eat it all, but couldn’t be bothered to stop playing [...]

I have this fear of blowing up TV shows to be spectacular, or larger than life. What I mean is when I really like a show (Lost, Carnivale, Battlestar Galactica…), I want others to watch it and appreciate it. So to convince them, I start telling them about how much I liked the show. But [...]

Laura bought a DS today. It came with a free game valued at $40 or less so she picked up Nintendogs and she seems to be enjoying it. Granted, there was some frustration in the early stages of training the beast, but nothing too serious.
Ryan got a DS for Christmas. The red one, bundled with [...]

There were a lot of presents under the Christmas tree this morning. I was told that since no one had yet showered, I wasn’t allowed to take pictures. Meh, I was too busy collecting all my phat lewt.
Katie wants to be a rapper.
Laura bought me a new office chair to go with my new desk. [...]

Today was Laura’s big family Christmas thing at the grandparents’ farm.
Even the bathroom had Christmas decorations!
They deep fried the turkey, which I wish I had gone outside to see. The outside was lightly crispy while the inside was tender and juicy. It was delicious.
I took a picture of the meal, just for Alison who seems [...]

We ran out of stuff to do at work today so I spent the last two hours looking busy, going for walks and hiding from people amongst skids of desktops in the back. I also talked with a few supervisors for half an hour about oil, alternative fuels, the Bush administration and Americans taking over [...]

I went to Canada Computers after work to get a VGA extension cable for my secondary monitor. I didn’t know where they kept their cables so I asked the first employee I saw if they had any. I’d been there before and had asked so I knew they carried them but the employee today [...]
