I had this artificial goal of catching up on my blog by the end of the month and it seems I did it. Go me. Will I stay up to date? I doubt it: It’s not a high priority to be up to date every day. Will I get as behind as I was before? [...]

Missing Laura today, as is the norm. It’s always worst on Monday’s. Mid-week, I’m at my best in hiding it, it seems.
Sort of related, and also to answer a question raised by Alison and Dennis, here are the TV shows Laura and I have watched / are watching together:
Lost (season one)
Battlestar Galactica (season one and [...]

Watched ‘Garden State’ tonight. Watching it really brings me back to two summers ago: The road trip JJ and I took down to the Seattle area and all the thoughts and feelings associated with that.
I remember walking out of the movie theatre just feeling… weird. Sad, to some degree, and malcontent with my life. Feeling [...]

Watched ‘What The Bleep Do We Know!?‘ with Laura and her parents tonight. I was told it was a quantum physics movie when really it was a philosophy movie where they use very general theories of quantum physics to support their ideas and portray it all as fact. It was kind of annoying, to be [...]

Rachel had Laura and I over for a dinner party tonight along with Val, Robyn, Christy and Brandon.
She had this strange appetizer which was a black olive spread on bread or crackers. I’d never tried it before but it was surprisingly good - especially when we brought out the cream cheese to put down as [...]

Laura and I had a nice, lazy evening and started into season two of Carnivàle tonight.
I forgot how much I enjoyed this show. The first season’s neat but the second season’s damn cool. I just can’t wait to get to all the really cool parts.
People hold their prophets to high standards - even in California.

I finished reading Poppy Z. Brite’s Exquisite Corpse today.
It’s the last book on the reading list for Laura’s gothic horror course. Her prof said it was really difficult to find a book that would actually disturb people today. We’re so desensitized by today’s media that most gore and violence is just ordinary. So this book [...]

I’m slowly going through the piles of papers in my room, getting things organized and stuff. If I’m lucky, I’ll get it done in time to move somewhere. Super.
Laura picked up my contact lenses for me the other day. It’s nice to finally have a bunch of lenses that actually help me see properly.

Six-month anniversary today so Laura picked me up at work and watched the newest episode of Battlestar Galactica while I showered and got handsome for her. We took off to Kelsey’s where Laura had a delicious coconut milkshake and what was apparently a really excellent veggie burger. I had the pasta special: Some type of [...]

Went to a family dinner with Laura this evening. There was a lot of waiting around before the food was ready. In wandering, I found the basement contained numerous treasures…
What kind of person has a Double Dragon machine, a barber’s chair and an engine sitting around in their basement? It just seems like an odd [...]
