a sporadic self-chronicle since 2001

Laura and I rushed a bit this afternoon to catch a bus back to Kitchener, snatch a car from her parents and then drive out to London to pick up my parents for dinner. It was a nice opportunity for her to meet some relatives of mine, confirming that they do exist and that I was not, in fact, born in a test tube. It also allowed my parents to meet the person I’m dating. They haven’t done that in quite some time now.

Anyway, we went out to dinner and it was delicious. I had my parents get Antijitos to try as an appetizer, and they liked them. I then had my mom try the jambalaya with me, and she liked that, too. Dad got his favourite dessert, chocolate ice cream with butterscotch on top, and displayed to Laura that the ability to eat lots of good food is indeed genetic.
