Well, if what I used to get to work was a car, it would be a more accurate title. As it is, I suppose it’s more just bike trouble.

On my way to work this morning, my rear axel broke. It’s not like the wheel completely broke, it just stopped being connected to the axel so when I pedaled down, the tire pushed hard into the bike frame, making it easier to walk than to bike. I wasn’t even half way there yet so I had to walk most of the way and was 20+ minutes late.
I brought it into the shop after work. Sounds like a new wheel will cost me $35 and $10 for labour. Meh, it’s not too bad considering I’ve had the thing for over five years.

i’ve had my bike for… 2 years? i hope to actually use it a bit this summer, instead of last summer where i only got air into the tires sometime around august. or was that the summer before, and i didn’t use it at all last summer? so hard to remember…
