a sporadic self-chronicle since 2001

I finished the end of Six Feet Under season five tonight and… damn. It’s definitely ranked in my top two TV shows with Battlestar Galactica and for sure is the best series finale I’ve ever seen. The final episode was probably the most deeply affecting TV show I’ve ever watched, period. After five seasons, the characters on this show have changed and grown in such real ways that it’s impossible not to care what happen to them. Impossible to watch the last episode and come out with dry eyes. Every actor really poured themselves into making the last episode really count. The series was filled with important, touching moments and the final episode did the same. As sad as I am to say goodbye to the Fishers, I couldn’t have hoped for a more memorable last view of their lives.

They gave out the garbage bonus at work today. It’s 2% of your salary, minus $2 for every hour missed, no matter if it’s properly excused or not. They gave mine to me in cash: A five, a toonie and two pennies in an envelope. Kind of insulting.

I’d actually rather they buy me tennis balls with it so I could throw them at the upper management. Better yet, keep the bonus cheques and send upper management to a workshop on how to treat employees with respect.

If you hate your job as much as you make it sound, get new one!

I have yet to watch Six Feet Under, maybe I will start that soon. Although I am to busy lately riding my motorbike.

I don’t hate my job, I hate the garbage bonus and the way the upper management is running the company. My immediate bosses, the supervisors, agree with me on both issues, too. And I have been looking for something else - I’m just picky.
