a sporadic self-chronicle since 2001

What happens when you buy a shower present for Melissa (and Ryan)? They end up here, in our spare room. All of them.

Still no new window for me. Apparently they ran out of basement windows so I’m told I’ll get mine tomorrow. Yeah, we’ll see.

Man is it cramped.

I don’t hang out much in the living room anymore. I only go there to watch TV with Laura and we haven’t done that in weeks. So to notice something different isn’t an easy thing.

I was talking to Ryan while he was watching something on TV tonight when I noticed that one of my pictures on the wall (the fire in the top right) wasn’t shiny and reflective like the others. Ryan saw me looking at it strange and started laughing. I then remembered trying to nap (a week ago? a couple weeks ago?) through the loudness of Shawn or Ryan stomping around upstairs, only to have that followed by the sound of glass breaking and then the vacuum running. I presumed a drinking glass had been broken but I was tired and fell asleep right after the vacuum ended.

So it turns out, it was Ryan and Shawn playing with Shawn’s birthday soccer ball. He hit the picture, broke the glass, cleaned it up, hung the picture up sans the glass and didn’t tell me. Super. The pictures is torn a bit now so if I plan on hanging it in whatever place I move to in the future, I’ll probably reprint the photo as well as buy a new frame. *sigh*
