The Rogers guy came today around five. All he did was call in the PVR’s serial number and it was added to my account and activated. Of course, that couldn’t have just been done over the phone by me. Wasn’t that exactly what one of the previous Rogers people told me needed to be done? Ugh.
Dennis picked me up on his way to the Outback Steakhouse where we met up with Joe and Ryan as well as Glen who had been waiting on his own. Matt arrived shortly thereafter and Shawn and Lachlan came in 30 minutes later.
It was a great meal - as is always the case there. A tonne of excellent food. Delicious steak and mashed potatoes. Afterwards, we were all on the verge of uncomfortably full.
We dropped off Ryan’s and Matt’s cars here and proceeded on to Dooley’s. Ryan’s MBET friends were already there in the private room playing pool. I got music going and hooked up the GameCube to the big screen plasma TV.
For the most part, there were the two separate groups: Us, the undergrad friends, and them, the masters friends. They played pool, while we played on the GameCube and our DS’. There was lots of liquor consumed and everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves. More importantly, it seemed like Ryan enjoyed himself, so that’s good. I had this bad dream last weekend that no one came and it was boring and shitty. Glad that wasn’t the case.
As it was, there were probably 15 of us with the MBET people there.
Oh right, and I brought a bunch of cheap leis for Ryan to wear.
The MBET people left around midnight and the rest of us stayed and continued to party and drink.
Glen left to drive home around 1am and we stayed on until they kicked us out at 2:30. Interestingly, our young little waitress wasn’t the one who ushered us out - she liked us (or our big tips) too much. There was some confusion as to her name, too. Some said it was Diana, others Jenny and Lachlan insisted it was ‘Come fuck me boots.’
From Dooley’s, we cabbed over to my place and hung out here. Ryan or Joe threw on ‘Old School,’ I ordered us pizza and we stayed up for a while longer. It was an awesome night.
Around 4am or so, things wound down and we all crashed.

i really don’t remember that last picture happenning, but i remember waking up around there in the morning. maybe lachlan took that picture? because he and i slept on your bedroom floor.
October 25, 2006 @ 9:38 amI was trying to take a picture of the two of us and they kept coming out poorly (see the complete pictures) so someone offered to do it for me. Either Ryan or Lachlan, I think.
I’m pretty sure that last picture was mere moments before I passed out - my bed was just way too comfortable.
