Grabbed this on the weekend. Cola coffee fusion beverage.

How was it? I wasn’t a big fan, but I’m not big on coffee.

I’m really glad time goes by quickly with this job. When I stop to think about it, I’d much rather be at home playing games, reading, putting away boxes of things or even cleaning. [...]

*repeat sentiments from yesterday w.r.t. internet, isolation etc.*

Picked up Battlestar Galactica season 2.5 at Futureshop after work. It’s nice that bus transfers last so long and can be used on the same line, therefore can get you there and back again if you want.
we’re stuck inside our own machines

I’m bored of talking about work already. I’m sure you are of reading about it, too.
My sister and her husband have decided to adopt a child from Hati. They’re preference would be a boy, teo-years-old or younger, but they’re open to other possibilities including siblings/twins. I think that’s pretty cool.
Hooked up the ‘Cube this weekend [...]

I picked up season two of Lost and The Office yesterday. I also got a bunch of screwdrivers and a tool set, both from Canadian Tire.

I was wasting time at Giant Tiger while Laura tried on clothes this afternoon, when I ran into my welder friend from Heidt last fall. We talked for a bit [...]

Ryan and Melissa’s Jack and Jill was tonight. Laura and I drove to Whitby, met up with Joe, Lisa and Dennis at a restaurant to give them their tickets and then went to the hall. We arrived 45 minutes later than Ryan’s mom wanted me there but it was still way in advance of anyone [...]

Laura and I grabbed food from Central Fresh Market again. It sure gets a lot of welfare-types. The girl in front of me in line was buying a bag of pasta and a bag of potatoes and her credit card / debit card was declined so she had to put back the potatoes because she [...]

I returned from work today to a message from Bell Sympatico saying there was a “development” and I should call them.
It seems in each neighbourhood there is a hub or closet or similar thing inside of which is where all the cards go for people who get DSL. When they went to investigate what my [...]

Got yelled at by the owner of some trucking company today. He was upset I didn’t go with their bid on a load heading down to California since they’ve helped us out a lot lately. Well sure, but so have the other two trucking companies, and it’s not like there won’t be more business to [...]

Work went by a lot smoother today. I had arranged all four outside drivers for tomorrow’s schedule even before noon.
Last night’s dinner was an instant fried rice thing into which I put half a red pepper and some tomato - it was delicious.
Joe, my old supervisor from patio, told me that he’s only ever seen [...]

Monday. First day on my own. Frick.
There was a ridiculous call volume of disgruntled customers, all sounding urgent and demanding my immediate attention. I’m in charge of scheduling outside drivers to take our trucks and was having trouble managing that as well as the angry customers. Then, the outside IT people decided today they should [...]
