I picked up Hotel Dusk: Room 215 for the DS recently. The game is an interesting cross between a detective novel with choose-you-own-adventure elements as well as a general Myst adventure/puzzle aspect. All of this done in sort of simplistic film noir visuals.
It had been all fun and games until I got stuck and remembered [...]

Laura went to see Justin Timberlake in Toronto tonight. She said it was 99% woman and most of those were between 20 and 25. Of the men, 80% of them were gay. Not like, ‘He’s a good dresser, he must be gay‘ but more along the lines of, ‘Gee, even if he didn’t have that [...]

JJ and Jenn are engaged, finally. He proposed in Penticton on Christmas Day (what’s with people doing it then?), but I only found out tonight. The wedding is set for September 1st and I’m a groomsman so one way or another, I’d better be out there.
You’ll have to excuse my stock photo - I haven’t [...]

The water in my bathroom decided not to drain today. It seems everything is connected in my bathroom and while Laura was showering, the water seemed to stop draining. She had to cut her shower short because she didn’t want the accumulating water to spill over the lip of the shower.
When flushing the toilet, the [...]

Laura and I finished the end of Huff tonight and started into Nip/Tuck. The former was super, just as the last time I watched it, and the latter definitely hooked us.
Nip/Tuck’s got an interesting concept and interesting characters. Another interesting aspect of it are the surgeries. I knew it was about plastic surgeons, but I [...]

Ryan was heading home tonight but we wanted to do something before he left. Not really knowing what we should do, we went out to Kelsey’s for dinner with Laura, Dennis, Alison and Shawn. The original plan was that we’d figure out what we wanted to do afterwards at dinner, but no one could think [...]

Dennis brought me to UPS to pick up my new cell today. Five years without one and now I have one again. At least I won’t be one of those people who have conversations with friends on their cells while they’re out with other friends.
Ryan’s in town for his 2nd interviews today. He was late [...]

Dennis loaned me ‘Nightbreed‘ and tonight I got around to watching it. It was… different.
It was written and directed by Clive Barker, so that’s why I was interested in watching it. It was definitely early 90’s, but I managed to get past that and it was pretty neat.
The plot is reasonably interesting and the [...]
