Laura and I saw ‘Spider-Man 3′ today. The short version of this review is that I went to see Venom and he was awesome. Otherwise, the movie felt long, like they were just trying to tell too many stories.
The longer, spoiler, version is that jerk-Peter Parker was a fucking tool. Flashing the guns to all the ladies as he saw them on the street was fucking retarded. It’s as if they took all the boring scenes of the movie and stretched them out. Jerk-Peter Parker made both Laura and I wonder about the time, wondering how much longer we had to put up with it all. It was like humor for 6-year-olds.
The last fight scene was pretty awesome, but it took so damn much to get to that point. To have the two enemies team up and Harry turn up to help out Peter just took so much effort. I didn’t care about the first two thirds of the movie. I didn’t care about the Mary Jane plot line. I didn’t care about Harry hating Peter, either. Whatever.
In the end, it wasn’t a bad movie. It just wasn’t as good as I was hoping it would be. Didn’t live up to the first two, even with a way-better villain (Venom, not the other two). It kind of reminds me of the old Batman movies (before the awesome ‘Batman Begins’) where their inability to fill a movie with a good story led to a series of movies with escalating numbers of main characters. A sequel where they needed two enemies, then two good guys and two enemies. Then three good guys and two bad guys.
Let us hope that ‘Spider-Man 4′ can get back on track.
Seriously, moving on…
Laura really loves tea and I really love making Laura happy, so I’ve accumulated a lot of tea…

I had joined BillMonk a while ago (when Joe commanded it) but I hadn’t really started using it yet. In anticipation of moving, I decided it would be a good idea to start keeping track of where all my things are and what I have that has to go back to others. So I threw all that information on BillMonk. Much easier to keep track of now!
