a sporadic self-chronicle since 2001

Jamie and I got off work a little early today and had dinner at Niko Niko on King street. Neither of us had been there before (though it seems lots of people like it) but we thought we’d try it out. It looked really nice inside so we were worried about the cost of it and right as we got in, before we asked for a table, Jamie asked for a menu to check it out. The server obliged and while he looked through the menu, the guy sitting at the table beside us talked us into staying, saying it was the best in town. Ok!

We took our seats and the server recommended “the special,” which sounded good, but we were both concerned about if it would be filling. She assured us it would be so we went for it. And it was delicious! My only complaint was that it tasted so good I didn’t want it to end, but then it was all gone. Oh, I was quite full and couldn’t have reasonably eaten more, but it was just so delicious!

The special was a 9-1-1 roll plus six pieces of Nigiri-zushi. I presume the roll changes from day to day. It also included an opener salad as well as miso soup and a tasty dessert, comprised of an inside-out orange.

As I said, quite tasty.

I received my wedding invitation to JJ and Jenn’s wedding today:

…wax seal and a dragon!!

My books are still drying… slowly.

Also, I got the courage to open up the box of CDs that the water got to and currently I’ve got a whole lot of liner notes drying out on my floor…
