Laura and I rented a U-Haul truck this morning. We were there with about 20 other people right as they opened and had to wait while they slowly got themselves organized.
Drove to Toronto, packed and loaded up the rest of her apartment and headed out.

On the way back, we stopped for something to eat at what was probably the coolest McDonald’s I’ve ever been in.

Just very stylized and cool-looking while the music they were playing was some sort of trip-hop, electronic Indian music. It was actually pretty decent, especially compared to the usual garbage they play in public areas.

Just outside of Kitchener, the rain hit. It wasn’t just that it started to rain, it was as if a lake was suddenly poured out onto the highway. Everyone pulled off the highway to the sides with their hazards on, hoping it would let up.

After ten minutes, people started driving again, but only around 60 Km/hr and with their hazards still on. It was actually kind of impressive how responsible everyone was.
As a thank-you to me for helping move Laura out of Toronto (they had been dreading it for the past four years), her parents cooked up a steak dinner. Medium-rare deliciousnessss.
