a sporadic self-chronicle since 2001

When I got home from work tonight I had a message from Laura inviting me to join her and her coworkers at Caesar Martini’s. I gave Jamie a call and we headed over. By the time we arrived, there was a huge line but we thought we’d check the patio for Laura before taking off (the line was too big to even bother considering).

Half-way down the line, however, some female friend of Jamie’s called him over and we joined her in line, after hearing rumor that the club was mostly empty and they were making people wait in line just to seem more elite (snobs!). We figured Laura was already inside with coworkers but decided we’d at least try to get in.

As we waited, Laura and her gang showed up after having pre-drunk at one of their places. We eventually all got in and it was pretty crowded. However two domestic beers for $5 was a surprisingly decent deal.

As we were hanging out, I told Jamie I’d pay him $2 if he went and sat next to this couple that was making out heavily on a couch.

He did it, of course, and it was pretty funny. The couple seemed pretty confused.

We left around midnight (or was it 1am?) and stopped for something to eat from the Pita Factory (dinner!).

After something to eat, we went for a walk around campus for a while. We chased some geese and watched Laura hop in the fountains. Good times.

So I’ve decided I don’t much care for Caesar Martini’s, even if I can get two Blue for $5. The food costs more than I want to pay and for less than I want to eat. The music just isn’t what I want to listen to and the people are a hybrid of elitist snobs and 19-year-old dramas. I think I’ll try and pass on it in the future.
