Laura and I took a leisurely biked ride this afternoon where we stopped for lunch at the Pita Factory (which seemed to have just opened up on highland) and then went to her parents’ place where we made a cake for the after-dinner.
So it had orange-flavoured geletin that you were to pour into holes in [...]

I’ve been saving all of my receipts for a while now. Perhaps I should explain the extent of that statement. Starting on the first day I arrived in Penticton when I moved there in August of 1996, I’ve been saving every receipt I’ve ever gotten. Groceries, books, CDs, concerts, movies, hardware… everything. The original idea [...]

Jamie and Sarah abandoned me at work today, going home after only an hour. Lucky guys, but I didn’t want to give up seven hours of pay.
Scrubs
My Point of No Return
Laura and I watched the Scrubs finale tonight. Funny as always and the ending was excellent. Always falling into old, bad habits. Women who have [...]

I had today off so I biked and bussed around town, getting chores done and managed to have dinner on the go when Laura arrived here after work. What a good househusband I am!
Laura and I watched The Office season finale tonight. Such an awesome show, it gets 7 Shrute Bucks out of 7. Suddenly [...]

My place smells musty, wet. Moist. Mildewed. The basement floor under water for hours on end and once it all cleared, it began. I’ve had my dehumidifier on full since it happened - two days straight now - and still it persists. They grow.
Oh, and I heard a rumor that Will Wright’s Spore won’t be [...]

Jamie and I got off work a little early today and had dinner at Niko Niko on King street. Neither of us had been there before (though it seems lots of people like it) but we thought we’d try it out. It looked really nice inside so we were worried about the cost of it [...]

The day was mostly uneventful until around 6:30 when it started raining heavily. The rain was so dense, it looked like a thick fog outside the window. Just before six I looked out the window and couldn’t see anything. It was blacker than night outside and all I could make out was a faint reflection [...]

I wanted to introduce you to a couple of the interesting characters I’ve recently met in my apartment…
My problem is that I have no idea what the hell that second thing is.
*shudder*

Today was the Mother’s Day thing with Laura’s whole family.
Just a late lunch thing where we had Swiss Chalet take-out. Delicious!
Ah yes, and a delicious dessert followed the food.
Then Val and I climbed the tree in the front yard.

Laura and I saw ‘Spider-Man 3′ today. The short version of this review is that I went to see Venom and he was awesome. Otherwise, the movie felt long, like they were just trying to tell too many stories.
The longer, spoiler, version is that jerk-Peter Parker was a fucking tool. Flashing the guns to all [...]
