I had been reading American Gods for the past while and I finally finished it the other day. Looking back, it was a damn cool story but at the time, it was generally pretty slow. But then, it had to be - that was the way the story went!

So it was slow, yes, but it was also wholly excellent. A very cool idea set in our world, but where all the old gods exist and walk around, largely ignored and unnoticed by most of us regular people. And there’s a showdown coming between the old gods and the new gods: The gods of technology and money. As I said, it was pretty cool.
