Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition is pretty awesome. The graphics are as awesome and pretty as they were on the GameCube and the controls feel natural and smooth. The aiming on-screen like with a gun works really well, as does the reloading.

It’s all really slick, I love it. It’s very fun to play and has a good story. I’m actually kind of glad I didn’t play it on the ‘Cube because the Wii version is probably better and this way it’s completely new to me.

I went out for a single drink with Dennis tonight.

s^23: want to go for one drink
s^23: one but one good one
Romer: yes.
s^23: mexcellent
s^23: as i said on the weekend

We headed to Montana’s because it’s usually not too busy and we could have a drink at the bar in relative peace. Maybe chat with the bartender a bit. Whatever.

Quarter to twelve found us sidling up to the bar to order our drinks. The bartender mentioned something about last call in 5 minutes, which seemed odd but we thought it might just have been a ploy to sell us on the double-pint glasses - which we went for, figuring it was “a good one” as Dennis had specified earlier on IRC. We enjoyed ourselves and when the bartender offered us a menu, we ordered the potato skins to split. When we eventually left, at quarter to one in the morning, we noticed on the door, on our way out, that they close at midnight from Monday to Thursday. Oops. What jerks we were, showing up a few minutes before close and staying there so long!

But then, they did offer us the menu and they didn’t seem to be rushing us out or anything and we were pretty easy-going and not demanding so I don’t think it was a big deal to them.
