Port Stanley Vacation
Day 5
I was pulled from rest this morning and voluntold to make blueberry pancakes with the mother while Laura and Louise went for a run. I’m told this turned both my mother and I into “grumpy pants.”

Behold! My nieces and nephew!

JP and his family left, Laura and I hit the beach briefly, showered, [...]

Port Stanley Vacation
Day 4

Up and off to the beach this morning…

When we came back, Jason had to head back home since he works tonight, and tomorrow and the day after….
Laura’s mom and Aunt Anita came later in the afternoon to visit, as did nearly all my relatives on my father’s side. We all met up [...]

Port Stanley Vacation
Day 3
This morning, Laura and I went for a walk to get Laura-food. On our way back, we stopped at the LCBO and picked up Fusion Grenades:

I guess they are just pomegranate drinks, but whatever.
Upon returning, we rushed off with the brothers, dad and Jared to head on a train ride.

Kind of a [...]

Port Stanley Vacation
Day 2

This morning I went golfing at the Port Stanley Bluffs with Louise, Geoff, Heidi, her husband Wayne, Jason and dad.

Most of the family went to the beach in the late morning, at which point dad went to the store and bought a few cases of Coke. Tragedy averted. Apparently we’re kind of [...]

Port Stanley Vacation
Day 1
Up early today and caught the first morning bus to London. Wasn’t sure who was going to pick me up at the Greyhound station there but as it turned out it was my cousin Heidi, whom I hadn’t seen in probably four years. We drove down to Port Stanley and arrived at [...]

Tomorrow I head off to the beach to meet up with my family. We haven’t all been together, my parents, brothers, sister and I, since my eldest brother’s wedding, 10 years ago. It should be fun and Laura will get to meet the whole gang when she joins us in a day or two.

Grilled up [...]

I can’t believe this weekend was only a standard weekend: It feels like I did too much to fit into the days that it did. But it was a pretty awesome birthday weekend.
I really love the current Metric single, the title-track from the “new” album, Grow Up and Blow Away. I meant to mention this [...]

Up and off to brunch at Country Boy with Ryan, Joe, Dennis and Alison. The three of us who had slept at my place got there first and got in the big line. We had been waiting for maybe two minutes when some employee stuck his head out the door and asked if there were [...]

25 today. My quarter centennial.
I have been on this Earth for ~9,131 days or about 219,144 hours.

I believe the top one is from my baptism. You’ll have to forgive me, it’s a little hazy - that was a couple years ago.
My sales-training manager bought me lunch today which was pretty cool, unexpected and delicious:

After work [...]

Remember in ‘American Beauty’ when Annette Benning’s character is cleaning up the house, giving herself a pep talk of, “I am going to sell this house today!” - that’s how I feel going into work now. I have to convince myself that I’m actually going to sell stuff =p
