Today was my last day of work at Rogers and my manager sent this out to our team:
Hi Team,
Well today we say goodbye to Jerome who will be starting a new life in BC as of the end of the week. Since this is Jerome’s last day I thought it would be fitting to [...]

Today was my second last day at Rogers and with the company not willing to give a reference of me professionally, it’s really hard to motivate myself. In addition, the new schedule scheme begins today so I’m on a different shift from all my other work friends so I sat mostly alone or with strangers [...]

Up at 5:30am this morning while Laura got ready and took off for work, with me in tow. She dropped me off at my place on her way to work and I fell asleep in my bed for a few more hours until Joe and Lisa, who had stayed the night in my living room, [...]

Laura and I threw ourselves a going-away party tonight so we could hang out with a bunch of our friends one last time before we head off to BC and it was a pretty great night. Really, it was just what I would have wanted.
It started out slower, with actual talking and socializing and a [...]

Tonight Laura and I finally got rid of all our CD cases. We had put all our discs (and album liner notes) into CD binders to cut down on the room it all took up (which was an incredible space savings!) but it wasn’t until tonight that we actually pitched the cases.

Filling up a giant [...]

Less than a week until BioShock’s release!
You should read what Tycho had to say about it today. But since you probably won’t, I’ll just leave this bit:
“The game starts out with an almost Myst quality, an odd inspiration, but a good one. From there, shit catches on fire and things begin to trend toward the [...]

I had my exit interview with HR today. Pretty standard, “Why are you leaving and what positive and negative feedback do you have for us?” stuff. I was impressed with how thorough the four-page multiple choice questionnaire was on every aspect of the company from benefits, to training, to managers, to communication between departments to [...]

After having listened to it a lot, I definitely love the new Matthew Good album. It is yet another album where every days or two it seems like I “discover” how awesome a different song is and get obsessed with it for a couple days.
It’s weird too because the subject matter of many tracks often [...]

Before Dennis and I left Oshawa today, we headed to a diner for brunch with Ryan and Melissa…

Cute but what are they looking at?

Ryan: “I don’t even feel like onion rings anymore.”
Melissa: kill me

Ryan: “How do I eat this?”
It wasn’t that it was humongous. It was just super long, but mostly thin. The solution was [...]
