Romer

Goozex has been really picking up for me lately. After having sent out so many games, I’ve finally been getting some. Yesterday two arrived in the mail, Psychonauts and Shadow of the Colossus. I spent some time last night beating up the first three colossi, which was quite satisfying. Nice to finally use my PS2 for good. Though, I feel kind of guilty killing those colossi - something tells me I’m not in the right doing so.

Anyway, I mailed off another three games this afternoon. While Goozex has lots of users and lots of games constantly being traded, I like that it’s still small enough to feel like a community. Not a lot of users are on the forums regularly and those who are tend to be the most active game traders, so it’s easy to get to know people.

Also pretty cool is that I sent Mario 64 DS out to a guy in Kitchener earlier this month and was just recently matched with him again, this time for him to send me a game. When he saw that we were matched again, he sent me a message telling me that his kids really love playing Mario 64 and that the copy of Brain Age 2 he’s sending me was an extra copy that I can still register online with Nintendo. Very cool.
