a sporadic self-chronicle since 2001

One of NBC’s new shows this season is Life. We’re a bit behind on watching our PVR recordings here, so we only just now watched the Farthingale episode from a couple weeks ago.

Unexpectedly, I really like Life. The main character is awesome, his friend/roommate is pretty cool, his partner’s kind of hot and the music in the show is fantastic. About half of it I already know and the other half is usually very good. Unfortunately, it’s still a cop show, which I’m a little less crazy about. Plus, the main character’s boss bugs me.

Then they end an episode with something like this:

Sampling Charlie’s Nhat Hanh Zen mantra with something off the new Radiohead album was fan-fucking-tastic. I’m not going to lie, I had to download the episode and rip the audio off it just so I could hear it later on my iPod.

So I’ll keep watching the show, even though I’m not big into police dramas, just to see Charlie Crews and hear the music they put in it.

we are none of us alone
