Possibly the weirdest thing ever:
This happened some time back in October or November. It was a fairly mild fall night, probably around eleven, eleven thirty and Laura and I were out for a walk. As we spilled out of a side alley onto the street, there was this guy parked across from us under a street lamp, standing outside the driver’s side of his truck, holding a hacksaw.

Spotting us across the road, he called over and asked if we could please jump on his ankle because he got in a fight but it wasn’t yet broken enough for insurance/suing purposes. When we declined, he began to repeatedly hit his ankle with the non-blade part of the hacksaw. After 6-8 hits, he called out to us once more but we were far enough ahead that we simply ignored him and then heard him get in the truck and drive off.
Let me report that there are some crazy people out here in BC.
