Tonight I tried Second Life and was shocked by how passé the graphics are. I haven’t played a game that ugly since before GL-Quake. It had a lot of performance issues, too. I’ve played games that are miles ahead in terms of graphics but that run infinitely smoother. It’s pretty pathetic.

Also, I found it pretty heavily laggy, and I can’t imagine it was my 10 megabit connection causing me trouble.

Anyway, I’m probably not the person they’re marketing the “game” to. Really, I don’t know who their target market is – they don’t seem to have much of any real content there and as I’ve mentioned, what is there is pretty poor.

On the plus side, the strippers were awfully nice to me – even though I didn’t have any money to tip them with.
