Laura and I watched ‘Alpha Dog’ tonight. The story was interesting but the white drug dealers who thought they were hot shit and black really bugged me. Twice as much when they were drinking or on drugs. Really, I would have been satisfied if I could have just read the plot online somewhere.
Following the movie, [...]

Laura and I are browsing through various DVDs at the HMV across from the Eaton Centre when Give It to Me by Nelly Furtado, Timbaland and Justin Timberlake starts playing. Being as Laura’s all into hip-hop now (and bought the Timbaland CD last weekend), she starts bopping her shoulders along to the music without even [...]

At the suggestion of a number of Laura’s relatives, I brought the Wii to Laura’s Easter family dinner and everyone loved it. It was the hit of the party. Many Mii’s made and three generations all playing together. Interestingly enough, the fastest learner of Wii Sports Bowling was 6-year-old Ashley.
Also, I managed to find an [...]

Laura and I headed to the movies this afternoon and caught both ‘Breach’ and ‘300.’ Both were excellent, though in completely different ways.
‘Breach’ didn’t have much action but was still pretty high on tension and managed to keep me interested throughout. However the acting was quite good and Chris Cooper was so good that I [...]

I was a little behind in watching 24 so I watched the past 4 episodes of it over the past 2 days (hey, that’s 24 backwards!). Yet every time I hear the phone ring in the show, I’m looking to find my cell phone (reasoning).
From the moment I saw the first person and witnessed them [...]

Laura’s cousin Rachel and sister Katelyn went to Mexico for reading week. They arrived back yesterday and today the three of them wanted time for just the three of them.
So I went and did the grocery shopping and then spent the rest of the afternoon finishing another chapter in Hotel Dusk, reading about the (Doctor [...]

Laura and I watched ‘The Omen’ (the new one) this afternoon.
I like scary and creepy movies and religious ones always appeal to me a lot. However time and time again I find myself disappointed with them. The problem is that God and the devil never directly interact with our world. They act through humans so [...]

Laura and I rented ‘SherryBaby‘ tonight and it was… different. Maggie Gyllenhaal’s hot and all but her character is just so dirty and trashy in the movie that she’s really not all that attractive anymore.
Although the plot of the movie was rather boring and uneventful (in my opinion), Maggie’s performance in the movie was very [...]

Laura and I watched ‘Pan’s Labyrinth’ this afternoon. While we both enjoyed it, we were definitely expecting it to be more… magical. We were expecting a story that took place in a magical realm or something but instead the fantastic elements were more of a b-story to the civil war that populated the bulk of [...]

Tried out Thai Sun in the new Waterloo Town Square tonight with Shawn and Dennis. It’s a stylish little place without any snooty atmosphere.
I had the “Thai Sun’s Spinning Noodle” which was really just the Pad Thai. It was quite delicious. Enough so that I completely forgot about the unappealing water-stains on the plate and [...]
