After spending two and a half hours waiting for a simple oil change this afternoon for which we had an appointment, our brains fried, Laura and I found ourselves watching the Miss America Live show this evening.
Now, Laura’s a big fan of reality shows. The trashier, the better so we’ve been loosely following the Miss [...]

Nip/Tuck
5×10 - Magda and Jeff
Gina’s always been a fun character but also a little bit crazy. Between her being crazy and her being a sex addict, Christian really could never tear himself away from her. That last scene, with her whispering to him as he thrusted her over the ledge of the building during sex? [...]

…brought to you by Canada’s Worst Driver:
Am I the only one amused by the ridiculous expressions on actors when you pause the screen?

One of NBC’s new shows this season is Life. We’re a bit behind on watching our PVR recordings here, so we only just now watched the Farthingale episode from a couple weeks ago.
Unexpectedly, I really like Life. The main character is awesome, his friend/roommate is pretty cool, his partner’s kind of hot and the music [...]

Tonight, the Battlestar Galactica: Razor event aired on TV and I really liked it. It provides a good counter-point to the way Admiral Adama and President Roslin have run things. Really, a completely different philosophy on the situation.
In the beginning of the miniseries, Adama’s thinking is that they are at war and they should be [...]

I have nothing to talk about today and found this bit about Doctor Who that I meant to write about earlier but couldn’t, for fear of spoiling it for Mike, who hadn’t yet finished the current season.
Sure, Doctor Who is kind of a campy sci-fi show but I really like it. It doesn’t take itself [...]

I picked up season one of Heroes last week as an anniversary present for Laura and we’ve been watching it nightly with Geoff and Louise. It’s awesome seeing it all over again from the beginning, knowing all of what is to come.
I remember when the show first started out, it seemed like X-Men but early [...]

I finally watched the last seven episodes of Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip and it was fantastic.
The show itself had been great right from the beginning. Just like the made-up show within the show, it was culturally relevant while still being smart and funny. each episode just got better and better and it was [...]

The results show of So You Think You Can Dance last night began with two unnecessary apologies. One from one of the judges who had worn a (very fashionable) faux military jacket the night before which had a military symbol upside down on the sleeve or something. Apparently this drove people into a frenzy and [...]

The BBC has recently put out a new adaptation of the Jekyll and Hyde story. Called simply Jekyll, it is really damn cool.
12 minutes into the first episode and I already loved it. It’s not “too” British (for example, the dialog in Extras is a bit tough to understand sometimes) and isn’t silly fantasy, there’s [...]
